Belfast airport workers' victory

Five years after being sacked by security firm ICTS for striking over pay, 23 airport workers have won an industrial tribunal. The tribunal found that the workers were unfairly dismissed and that four shop stewards were "unlawfully discriminated against" for their socialist political beliefs.

ICTS have been ordered to pay £750,000 damages.

The three TGWU shop stewards are now launching a hunger strike at the TGWU/Unite offices until the union launches a full inquiry into the mishandling of the dispute.
