Pay and jobs battle

CWU: Further national action discussed

There has been a further meeting between the CWU negotiators and Royal Mail over the national pay dispute. At this meeting Royal Mail invited the union to table a fresh counter-proposal to management's demands. The union was drawing this up as we went to press.

At the same time the union is discussing further industrial action in response to management's imposed changes to working arrangements and pensions. An announcement on this is expected imminently.
