Video: Saving Deptford Job Centre

Lewisham Socialist Party councillors Ian Page and Chris Flood came to the aid of the unemployed of Deptford, London, and the job centre workers at Deptford Job Centre, organised in the civil servants union, the PCS (Public and Commercial Services union).

Tony Reay, London regional secretary of the PCS Department of Work and Pensions and a worker at Deptford Job Centre, called on Ian and Chris when management told the workers at the centre that it was to close.

Tony, Chris and Ian explain how this situation arose and what they did about it.
