One of the key figures in the Russian revolution of 1918, Trotsky went on to lead the criticism of the Stalinist dictatorship which took control in Russia and helped organise international political opposition to Stalinism and for real, democratic socialism. We discuss the importance and relevance of his ideas and analysis of society.
