The discussion will be introduced by platform speakers from the constituent components of the TUSC steering committee: the RMT transport workers' union, the Socialist Party, the Resistance Movement and the Individual Members' representatives. The conference takes the form of a single plenary session.

The discussion will include the minimum core policies TUSC candidates will be committed to fight for in May's local council elections (see the TUSC website at http://www.tusc.org.uk/17426/22-11-2020/tusc-sets-out-core-policies-for-may-2021-local-elections ).

The results of austerity have been graphically demonstrated as public services strain to cope with the crisis.

The government has now ripped up its 'austerity' mantra and turned to policies that not long ago were denounced as socialist. But after the corona crisis, it will try to make the working class pay for it, by trying to claw back what has been given.
