Capitalism offers no future for billions across the planet. The economic crisis continues.
Unemployment is rising. Public services are being slashed.
The bosses’ profits and bonuses are being restored by driving down the living standards of the rest of us.
Socialism 2010 brought together workers, trade unionists, anti-cuts campaigners and young people in a weekend of discussion and debate.
At the top of the agenda was how to fight back against the bosses’ onslaught and the socialist alternative that is needed.

As excellent as Socialism 2009 was, Socialism 2010 should be bigger and better!

Since Socialism 2009, the entire situation has changed. The next phase of the capitalists’ world economic crisis has broken out in the form of the Eurozone Crisis.

Governments across Europe are launching all out assaults on the living standards of working and middle class people.

In Britain the bosses are well represented by the new Com-Dem coalition government. The mother of all battles looms on the question of public sector cuts. The government is determined to restore the profits of their big business friends by grinding the rest of us into the dust.

Across Europe, mass movements are developing – in Greece, Spain, Portugal and elsewhere.

A fightback in Britain on this scale will develop. Socialism 2010 will be a crucial event in this process.

Socialism 2010 will raise the ideas of a socialist alternative to the bosses crisis and bring together the most determined fighters to discuss, debate and organise the fightback.
